In everything he says and sings, this musician is razor-sharp. With his band of painted birds, he rocks and folks Yiddish songs and modern protest songs written by himself. When the multi-instrumentalist from the USA is not holding up a mirror to philistines, bringing punk prose to the point or parodying Klezmer as a cowboy song, he is the house composer of Berlin’s Gorki-Theater.
