street stage

Apply until 14 June 2024 for the street stage

Attention talented musicians! From Friday 26 July to Sunday 28 July 2024, the Bardentreffen will once again offer up-and-coming musicians the chance to showcase their skills on the street stage in front of the Sparda-Bank, Karolinenstraße. Whether global pop, singer-songwriting, classical or jazz - all styles of music are welcome. But please note: it must be played acoustically (without PA).

You can't get any closer to the music

Musicians from the fields of global pop or singer-songwriting can apply, but choirs and vocal groups are also welcome. A total of 17 time slots will be allocated, with a maximum performance time of 60 minutes including set-up and dismantling. Performances will be acoustic, a loudspeaker system is not available. If required, you can bring your own battery-powered amplifier. The street stage, which builds a bridge between the official concert programme and the spontaneous performances, fits in perfectly with the informal and open concept of the Bardentreffen. Stefan Schindler, Chairman of the Management Board of Sparda-Bank Nuernberg eG, emphasises: ‘Music connects people and creates a unique atmosphere and community, which is very important to us as a cooperative bank.’

Information about the performance
  1. The street stage is an unplugged stage. It must be played acoustically. Battery-operated full-range loudspeakers with up to 50 watts per individual musician or group are permitted and must be brought along if required.
  2. The stage size is 4 x 3 metres. If there is not enough space (e.g. for a choir), it is possible to stand in front of the stage.
  3. Groups with vocals or choirs/vocal groups are particularly welcome.
  4. Musicians should contact the stage manager about 15 minutes before their performance.
  5. Each performance has a duration of 60 minutes, including set-up and dismantling
  6. GEMA lists can be handed in to the stage personnel after the performance.
  7.  Costs for travel or accommodation cannot be reimbursed.
  8. You can pass a “hat” or sell your CDs in front of the stage after the concert. The earnings are 100%.
