I Liguriani (ITA)

Equipped with flutes, fiddles, guitar, button accordion and bagpipes, the five thoroughbred musicians of I Liguriani rock their audiences to the sound of their home region of Liguria. There is dancing like there’s no tomorrow – to fast and furious mazurkas and monteferines, but also to French and Scottish waltzes. And quite a few stories are told in lyrical ballads – about seafarers and partisans, about love’s bliss and sorrows.
